Shopping facilities are everywhere in Addis. Small merchands to big suprmarkets and the traditional markets. Shiromeda and Merkato as the big markets, but all subcities have there small markets.

Like everywhere else in the world the wish for huge modern shopping facilities came also to Ethiopia. There are new shopping centers with lots of shops under one roof with facilities for coffee and for lunch. Live can be pleasant there. Just go and see what you can find at the Dembel City Center or Friendship Building |

Markets are found all over the city. The biggest is the Merkato, but if you want to buy traditional clothes, Shiromeda might be the better choise. If you prefer it a bit calmer, Shola is also a good choice to find most of the things you need. |
