Proclamation Number

It was established through the proclamation no 15/2009 G.C in order to reestablish the Addis Ababa City’s Administration executive bodies and municipal services.

Year of establishment

It was established in 2003 G.C in the level of authority.

Vision

To protect the city from pollution and devastation of natural resources and to make the city one of the world’s 15 model cities through the integration of the development with the environment by 2020 G.C.   

Mission

To prevent the city from pollution and devastation of natural resources and harmonize the development with the environment; to enable the city dwellers to keep their rights to live in clean and healthy environment and by assessing and controlling the environment and natural resources based on study and investigation with the help of public participation as well; and to ensure a sustainable development and natural resources use.
