Addis Ababa (ENA) - November 18, 2007- The Addis Ababa Caretaker Administration said it has finalized selection of sites and designing activities to launch the construction of 38, 000 condominium houses during the current year.

Administration Culture and information bureau head, Misganu Arega told ENA yesterday that the construction of the stated number of condominiums would be launched at a cost of over 2 billion birr.

The designs for the new condominiums are found to be better than the deigns of the previous condominium houses constructed in different parts of the city.

In fact, he said site selection and design works were also been carried out for 121,000 additional condominium houses due to be built in the metropolis in the coming two years.

Currently, the housing project has created jobs for 24,000 citizens.

Micro and small- scale business enterprise have been participating in the housing development project after receiving the necessary training, he added.
