Returnee's deed said exemplary |

ADDIS ABABA August 08, 2007- Ethiopians who were living in Israel have returned home to establish a Private Limited Company (PLC) that engages in cleaning and sanitation. At a clean-up campaign in connections with the Millennium celebration within the premise of Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday, Jerusalem Cleaning Service PLC General Manager Meskerm Zeleke told journalists that 17 Ethiopian women decide to return home with a view to participating in the nation-building process. “For we all have acquired a good deal of experience in cleaning and sanitation works, we are confident to achieve good results,” the General Manager said. She also said that the returnees are looking for ways and means to create more job opportunities for fellow Ethiopians, Meskerem pledged to participate in cleaning services in institutions such as hospitals. Ambassador Halima Mohammed Director of Women's Affairs and Affirmative Action General Directorate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on her part said that the returnees are doing exemplary work. “These women are demonstrating that there is plenty of job and opportunity to engage in this country.” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is doing its level best to enable the Diaspora play their due role in the nation-building process, Halima said.
