  ADDIS ABABA (ENA), February 5, 2008 - The Ethiopian peoples' Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) announced that it will field over 32,000 candidates for the upcoming local and by-election in Addis.
• Federal Police lauds public in connection to peaceful conclusion of AU Summit
  Addis Ababa(ENA) February 3, 2008 - Federal Police lauds the public for its contributions in connection to the successful conclusion of the 10th ordinary summit of the African Union (AU).
• Addis, Beersheba to cooperate in potable water supply, sewerage disposal sector
  ADDIS ABABA (ENA) January 29, 2008 - Addis Ababa and Israel's second city Beersheba would cooperate in the supply of potable water and sewerage disposal sector, the Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority announced.
• Sub-city transfers 2,300 condominium houses to beneficiaries
  ADDIS ABABA (ENA) -The Bole Subcity Housing Development project Office in the Metropolis has transferred 2,300 condominium houses constructed in six sites to beneficiaries on Sunday.
• AU Summit preparations underway
  Various preparation have been made for the upcoming 10th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Head of Sates and 12 th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council due to be held in Addis.
  
  FAO sub-regional office here to be inaugurated Monday
  Addis Ababa (ENA), January 25, 2008 - The UN Food Agriculture Organization sun regional office for Eastern Africa (SFE) here in Addis will be officially inaugurated January 29, 2008.

  Condominium houses built in Yeka Subcity of the metropolis at a cost of more than 70 million birr was inaugurated yesterday
• Authority sinking 53 water wells
  The Addis Ababa Water Sewerage Authority is carrying out the digging of 53 deep water wells that would enhance the supply of potable water on the Metropolis at a cost of over 168 million birr.
• Technology Park to be established here
  ADDIS ABABA (ENA), January 22, 2008 - A technology park would be established here in Sid at national level, the Ethiopian Information and Communications Technology Development Agency (EICTDA) announced.

  ADDIS ABABA (ENA) 12/23/2000- Former Zambian president, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda has transplanted two millennium tree seedlings here in Addis Ababa yesterday at a ceremony held at the National palace.

  ADDIS ABABA (ENA) August 28, 2007- The Addis Ababa City Administration Millennium Celebration Office has announced a list of artistes and bands that would take part on the millennium eve extravaganza. These include singers, music bands, choreographers, cinema and theatre experts and masters of ceremony.

• Gov't to begin supplying edible oil in Addis
  ADDIS ABABA (ENA) August 28, 2007- The Ministry of Trade and Industry announced plans Thursday to begin distributing edible oil in the metropolis as of next week through the Ethiopian Merchandise Wholesale Import and Tread Enterprise.

  ADDIS ABABA (ENA) August 6, 2007- The Metropolitan Millennium Council announced that it has finalized preparations to launch Addis clean-up camping as of August 6, 2007 in connection with the upcoming Ethiopian Millennium.
• Supreme Court Launches IT-Based Systems
  ADDIS ABABA August 6, 2007- The Federal Supreme Court has launched Information Technology (IT)-based systems as e-litigation, interactive messaging and the judicial ongoing system that help disseminate reliable and credible court information to citizens.
